Carbide welding rod, also known as YD cemented carbide composite welding rod is made of granular sintered carbide
and elastic carcass alloy mixed and sintered. The sintered carbide particles are mainly cobalt-containing tungsten carbide, and its hardness can reach 89-91HRA.
The basis metal is generally a "nickel-copper" alloy with a flexural strength of about 690 Mpa and a hardness of ≥160 HB.
Tungsten carbide electrode as one of the hard surface materials, widely used on some serious wear or both cutting workpieces in
oil, mining, coal mining, geology, construction and other industries.
